UNSOLO

"UNSOLO" connects the simple image of a bicycle with the blank space on Japanese paper, reflecting various elements of the past, present, and future. This work contains reflections and questions about the information overload and material obsession prevalent in modern society. The depiction of the bicycle, reduced to its frame and wheels, symbolizes the elimination of unnecessary information and words. It aims to unify various dualities: time and space, bicycle and space, inside and outside, self and the real world. Through this work, viewers are prompted to contemplate the significance of the whitespace reflecting their inner selves and the essence of existence free from material constraints.

"UNSOLO" also signifies that we are never truly alone. A bicycle moves forward when ridden by someone, and a person moves forward by riding a bicycle. The metaphor of the bicycle is profound, representing not just a tool but a companion that allows us to experience moments of life.
